I originally wasn’t too sure I wanted to read this book, as it is nonfiction, and I usually steer myself away from that genre.  But with a few days left until left for Mexico, I was running out of time to purchase a good read.  Therefore, at Walmart with limited choices, I picked this up as it sounded interesting–an American mountain climber building schools for Pakistani children.

I have not been wanting to put it down lately.  There truly are good people in the world, and this story affirms it.  Also, it is co-authored by a journalist, so the style is terse and descriptive.  I am fond of that style of writing.  There also is a young reader’s version available.
